Police Apprehends 10 Suspects Over Killing Of MACBAN Chairman In Benue

The Benue State Police Command on Sunday said that, it has arrested 10 suspects in connection with the gruesome murder of the Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Benue State Chapter, Alhaji Ardo Risku Mohammed, and one Yakubu Isa.
The command explained that the arrest was made possible following intensive intelligence and tactical operations carried out by the Command.
This was contained in a statement on Sunday by the command police public relations officer PPRO DSP Udeme Edet.
She stated that the suspects were arrested on the night of Saturday, 27th June, 2026 during a coordinated operation by tactical teams in Otukpo area of the state.
The arrested suspects includes, Titus Thyodenda, 25 years, Utibe Sam, 20 years, Owoicho Ameh, 18 years, Sunday Useni, 21 years, Sunday Ogbanje, 46 years and Daniel Raphael, 23 years
Others are; Adokole John, 24 years, Samuel Ogazi, 32 years, Agbo Daniel, 25 years and Onazi James, 30yrs
She said the Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, CP Cletus Clement Nwadiogbu, commended the tactical teams and investigators for their swift response and professionalism in making these arrests.
The CP assures members of the public that investigations are ongoing and efforts have been intensified to identify and apprehend other persons connected with this criminal act. He reiterates that the Command remains committed to ensuring that all those found culpable are brought to justice in accordance with the law.
The Commissioner of Police further appeals to residents of the state to remain calm, continue to cooperate with security agencies, and provide useful information that may assist in the investigation.
"The Benue State Police Command remains resolute in its commitment to protecting lives and property while sustaining peace and security across the state", DSP Udeme Edet concluded
