Benue deputy speaker, Lami thanks APC leadership, constituents for second term ticket.

The Member representing Ado State Constituency and Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly Hon. Mrs  Lami Danladi Ogenyi has thanked the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in her constituency following the presentation Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) Nomination Form to her Governor Hyacinth Alia, signifying affirmation of her ticket to contest for the Benue State House of Assembly for the 2027 general elections.

 

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Hon. Lami described the affirmation as both an honor and a call to greater service.

 

“I am profoundly grateful to our visionary and people-oriented Governor, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, our indefatigable APC leaders, loyal party members, and my beloved constituents for the trust, love, and overwhelming support to fly the party’s flag in Ado Constituency, again” she said.

 

Hon.Ogenyi  noted that the journey to this point has been one of collective sacrifice, unity, and commitment to the progress of Ado, Benue and Nigeria.

 

“Ado State Constituency is not about me alone. It is about us. It is about the work of God through the people. This ticket is a confirmation that our people desire purposeful representation, grassroots development, and a voice that will speak boldly for them at the hallowed chambers of the Benue State House of Assembly,” she added.

 

The lawmaker reaffirmed her commitment to run a people-centered campaign anchored on: 

 

She promised to give more attention to education and youth empowerment through creation of more opportunities for skills acquisition anf jobs.

 

The deputy  speaker further promised to continue to enhance healthcare  and social welfare by ensuring  access to quality healthcare for every household 

 

"I will ensure legislative excellence by initiating quality bills  and motions that will directly improve the lives of  people of the State.

 

“I promise to be a representative who listens first, in my usual way of interacting with my people, and continually act in the interest of the people at all times. Together, we will build an Ado State Constituency that works for everyone,” she pledged.

 

She called on all APC members and residents of the constituency to remain united, peaceful, and focused as the party moves toward victory in the coming election.
